Job Description:
The role position will be responsible for fraud controls,
end-to-end for a transactional banking product. This role focuses on
implementing fraud models at key touch points (viz. onboarding, transactions,
etc.) to mitigate fraud risk. It also includes understanding end to end life
cycle, fraud process, platforms, vendor selection, feature generation, models
and its applicability and collaborating with partners to implement solutions.
The
selected applicant should have expertise in banking fraud as well as analytical
ability to conduct data quality checks, build machine learning models, create
features using internal and external data to enhance models and partner with
technology colleagues to implement features, models and with business colleagues
for rules
Job Responsibilities:
- The applicant will define requirements to ensure existing modeling solutions and controls are robust and/or develop new modeling solutions
- The applicant will identify any new data sources suitable for banking products that would help mitigate fraud losses
- The applicant will develop new features and conduct analytics to identify and monitor fraud trends
- The applicant will partner with business colleagues to implement solutions to minimize fraud while retaining excellent customer experience
- The candidate will track, communicate and draw insights from the performance of ongoing initiatives and be on top of fraud KPIs and model metrics via intensive monitoring
- The applicant will be responsible for responding to and resolving fraud attacks in real-time basis
- The candidate should build strong relationships with stakeholders across Strategy, Operations, Engineering and Product among others to turn insights into action
Experience:
- Candidate should have 2-3 years of banking and/or lending experience, across the fraud life cycle, preferably within a regulated banking instruction
- Candidate should have deep domain experience in asset & liability banking products is preferred
- Candidate should be experienced in Data Science/Machine Learning
Academic Background:
- Post Graduate in Statistics /Mathematics /Economics /Engineering /Management.
Functional Skills:
- Candidate should have skills in Data Science/Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence: Gradient Boosting Machines, Deep Learning, Unsupervised Techniques, Decision Trees
Technical Skills
- Candidate should have insights in Advanced Statistical Techniques, Data Correlation, GINI, Concordance, Precision, Recall; Deck Mechanics
Knowledge of Platform:
- Candidate should have knowledge of SAS, SQL, R, Python; Advanced Excel and PowerPoint
Behavioral Areas:
- Candidate should have clear and candid communication skills (oral and written)
