Job Description:
Credit & Fraud Risk helps drive profitable business
growth by reducing the risk of fraud and maintaining our customers' confidence
in the security of our products. It utilizes an array of tools and
ever-evolving technology to detect and combat fraud, minimize the disruption of
good spending and provide a world-class customer experience. This exciting
position is within the Credit & Fraud Risk Capabilities, Gurgaon, as the
Manager responsible for leveraging the In-house applications that support best-in-class
Risk Alerting and monitoring of the integrity of the data, Risk Remediation of
the processes and decision outcomes across – Credit, Fraud, and Operational
Risk – globally to mitigate risks to the AXP brand, customer experience and
Bank Holding Company status.
Purpose Of The Role:
The
individual contributor role is expected to play a critical role in a fast-paced
agile environment and will entail development and maintenance of best in class
Data Monitoring and Data Quality Applications across different work streams of
the Credit and Fraud Risk. Additionally, the role will require establishing
engagement channels with partners across different value streams and
geographies to gather and groom requirements and finalize the alerting criteria
basis the risk appetite.
Responsibilities:
- Development and maintenance of the applications to enable Data Monitoring and Quality Applications across the risk applications to support best-in-class Business Intelligence solutions.
- Drive discussions with partners, across different time zones, to refine business rules and suggest data quality solutions which fulfil the needs.
- Adapt to changing business needs, and quickly come up with scalable and efficient solutions
- Proactively identify and automate manual tasks to improve quality and efficiency.
- Provide recommendations to enhance capabilities to drive efficiencies in Alerting applications.
Critical Factors To Success:
- Strong analytical, data exploration and data analytics skills with proficiency in SQL & Hive
- Strong understanding of Analytical BI tools
- Know how of agile methodologies like Scrum, SAFE
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
Academic Background:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical discipline required, or equivalent work experience.
Past Experience:
- Overall 1-3 years of experience including at least 2 years of relevant experience in data exploration, data analytics skills with proficiency in SQL & Hive along with strong understanding of Analytical BI tools
Functional Skills:
- Stakeholder management with the ability to work with business partners across different value streams and geographies to groom and finalize requirements and come up with a working solution
- Problem solving mindset with the ability to come up with efficient working solutions quick
- Good written as well as verbal communication skills
- Demonstrable experience on Business intelligence and visualization tools is good to have.
- Knowledge of existing Risk applications in AXP OR hands-on experience on the Cornerstone platform would be a plus.
Technical Skills:
- SQL, Hive, Hadoop Ecosystem
- Data Analytical Language (SAS, Python, R) (optional)
- Machine Learning (Optional)
- Demonstrable experience on Business intelligence and visualization tools is good to have
- Knowledge of existing Risk applications in AXP OR hands-on experience on the Cornerstone platform would be a plus.
